All lessons will be taught from the teachers home. Address will be given before the first lesson.

Lessons

  • Voice

    • Voice students will focus on voice training. Alongside voice training, Voice students will learn music theory and light Piano or Guitar playing.

  • Guitar/Bass

    • Guitar students will start with open chords, then transition into the style they would like to play.

    • Bass students will explore a lot of music theory.

  • Piano/Digital Music

    • Piano students will focus on technique and music theory.

    • Digital music students will learn piano, but focus on Music Production and songwriting through a Digital Audio Workspace.

  • Drums

    • Drum students will start with the foundation of groove and rhythm, then explore the creative ways to make their music more interesting. All drum students will be expected to learn light piano

  • Other

    • We can talk about other options. As a teaching professional there’s a lot of value I can bring to your playing.

Performance Ready

All students are expected to use their voice in their lesson. This helps develop and train the ear.

Students are recorded at every lesson to have a portfolio measuring their growth. This also calms nerves for when students eventually perform in front of a crowd.

  1. Warm Up

    1. This gets your juices flowing making you prepared for music making

  2. Exercises/Music Theory

    1. These are activities that work on a technique or information about the music you are working on.

  3. Repertoire

    1. This is the application of your exercises to your music.

  4. Recording

    1. Each lesson we will record what we have worked on. This allows for the student to have a portfolio to hold on to.

  5. Review

    1. We talk about how the lesson went and what to work on for the next lesson.
